Gilmor Associates was started in 1989 by Tim Gilmor, Ph.D. Based in Toronto and Ottawa, Tim and his colleagues have profiled thousands of managers and executives representing diverse industries, areas of expertise and nationalities. Clients of Gilmor Associates know they will be provided with thorough, insightful, consistent and comprehensible findings based on seasoned professional judgment. The perspective that our assessments provide will complement other relevant information including the organization’s culture and specific job requirements. The result is consistently better outcomes in critical hiring, promotion, and succession planning decisions for both the organization and the individual. Three values are particularly important to us in doing our work:

  • We strive to reach solid, unequivocal conclusions. That is why we use multiple internationally recognized assessment tools rather than just one.
  • We know that tests, while valuable, are no substitute for judgment based on experience. The greatest value we add comes from accurately compiling our findings and then applying sound judgment. It is the quality of the inferences drawn from data that matters.
  • We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to benefit from feedback. Whether or not someone gets the job or promotion, time is made available to debrief them.
